Place the update.s2 file onto the root folder of the microSD card for the Mig Flash.
Insert the microSD card back into the Mig Flash.
Power up the Mig Flash by inserting it into the Switch console or Mig Dumper.
The Mig Flash LED light will flash blue for a short moment.
When updating is finished, the LED light will stop flashing and remain blue.
Eject the Mig Flash and it will function normally again.
INSTALLING/UPDATING DUMPER FIRMWARE WITH MIG UPDATER :
Check your Mig Dumper firmware version: If you do not see a firmware version file (like '1.1.7' or similar) in the root of the Dumper GameCard drive, then skip the steps below and follow 'UPDATING OUTDATED MIG DUMPER'
Make sure no game cartridge is inserted into Mig Dumper
Plug in the Mig Dumper via USB
Mass storage device will appear, with a folder 'System'
Drag & drop the (downloaded) update.s2 file to the Mig Dumper 'System' folder, to overwrite the update.s2 file present there
If your OS systems says there is no space left on Mig Dumper, then you must first delete the update.s2 file and then copy update.s2 into the 'System' folder
Wait for copying to finish
Safely eject the Mig Dumper first then unplug the Mig Dumper to let the update take effect
UPDATING OUTDATED MIG DUMPER
Download and launch migupdater for your OS (Windows, Mac, Linux, Python)
If asked, enter your password to grant Administrator and disk access permissions.
Make sure no game cartridge is inserted into Mig Dumper
Plug in the Mig Dumper via USB
Click on 'Refresh' and select the physical drive that matches the Dumper when it appears from the list
Click on 'Check version' to confirm the right drive was selected and see the current version
Select 'Browse' to navigate to the desired update file to use
Click on 'Update' to update the Mig Dumper
Wait until update is completed
Safely eject the Mig Dumper first then unplug the Mig Dumper to let the update take effect
Optionally, re-insert Mig Dumper and follow steps 5 and 6 to confirm new version
INSTALLING/UPDATING DUMPER FIRMWARE MANUALLY :
Plug in the Mig Dumper via USB
Mass storage device will appear, with a folder 'System'
Drag & drop the (downloaded) update.s2 file to the Mig Dumper 'System' folder, to overwrite the update.s2 file present there
Wait for copying to finish
Unplug the Mig Dumper to let the update take effect
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS :
Setup:
Prepare microSD card
Format microSD card with the exFAT filesystem
Place XCI game files in the root of the microSD filesystem
Ensure the game files follow the naming scheme with "XXX.xci", "XXX (Initial Data).bin", "XXX (Certificate).bin", "XXX (Card ID Set).bin", "XXX (Card UID).bin" (as instructed in the section “Backup your games”)
Optionally, you can create XXX.xci folder, and place the relevant game files in there
Online mode :
Online mode is only recommended with a fully complete game dump
If a valid Certificate, Card ID Set, or Card UID is missing, online mode is not recommended as it can lead to ban
Launching games on "V1" :
Select the game to launch by ejecting and re-inserting the game card
Upon launching game, same game will appear every re-insert
To unlock, eject the game card when the LED light turns green
Launching games on "V2" :
Select the game to launch by pressing the button
To move to next game, press the button for a short duration
To move to previous game, press the button for a longer duration
Choosing a selection results in a full page refresh.
